What Are You Doing For Others?

The definition of serving is: “an act of helpful activity’ help; aid: to do someone a service”

When you stop working towards your own benefit, and you start working towards the benefit of others, your life will change.

When you work to serve others, you will discover that the most important things you have to offer are not things or money.

The world is now dominated by money driven rewards.
Whilst this is appealing (we all need money to eat), we invite you to start engaging on daily small acts of kindness and generosity. This will start shifting your mindset towards an inspired contribution rather than working to get financial incentives.

Some examples are:

  • coach somebody
  • Join a local charity (any)
  • Start working for your local council to help the community
  • Work in community engagement groups at your institution
  • It could even be opening the door to somebody or stopping to help a lost tourist.

You will start breaking the mindset of “What’s in it for me?”
Instead, you will start shifting towards a contributing environment where you will start being generous with your time and attention to others.
At the same time you will also be in-tune and conscious with the offerings other people are giving you!

At the end, and by default, when you give, you actually receive.
The more you give, the more you will start receiving.
The more people you are able to help, the more your projects will succeed.
