It is through the very challenges that come with raising kids that Jake Diaz made his living. Jake is the founder of Have A Nice Day, a company that creates toys with a unique twist. By engaging children in his creative masterpieces, their own creativity is unleashed.

Jake was exposed to building and fixing various things through his father. He then studied Industrial Design at university. This is where he enjoyed hands-on and practical projects. His big breakthrough as a designer came with the arrival of his child. What started out as an after-work project for Jake turned into a wonderful company.

Now, Jake designs and produces toys sold in over a hundred stores across Australia. In this Innovator Diaries interview, Jake talks about his journey towards success. He also shares some parenting secrets, plus a few tips on juggling family and career.
