Quarantine study tips, covid19 study tips, australia study tips

We find ourselves in a very strange situation. While many students may have started feeling discouraged by all that is happening, we urge you to stay hopeful.

Life must go on and we must continue taking steps towards our goals. Despite all the restrictions we currently face, we are still lucky to some extent. With technology–especially the internet–available to us, we can take online classes. As time goes by and the challenges continue, we will also learn to adjust our schedule and our lives. We will continue innovating and coming up with creative solutions to studying and working from home.

To keep you motivated and focused, here are some tips on how to study and continue learning this quarantine:

Make the internet your best friend.

Let’s not pretend like that isn’t already the case. As much as you enjoy using the internet for Facebook and Instagram, you should learn to love studying on your phone too. Make use of your gadgets not only to stay productive but also to stay updated. Attend your online classes. You can even dress up and put some make up on for a Zoom conference like you normally would for face-to-face discussions.

Maintain a schedule.

Perhaps one of the best things about this quarantine is having time in our hands. However, this doesn’t mean you should just do whatever you want. It’s best to keep your days structured and stick to a schedule. Make it full but flexible, leaving room for stillness, play and possibilities. Stick to existing healthy routines and create ones that will help keep you sane, like tending the garden, practicing yoga or journaling.

Stay connected.

Just because we can’t see and touch each other doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep in touch. Apart from social media, there are plenty of online platforms for students to stay connected. You can still be a part of communities and groups, discussing ideas and Netflix shows. If you are living by yourself, it is all the more necessary to make time to socialize any way you can.

These challenging time is enough to make anyone crazy, for sure. Keep in mind that we are all in this together. Despite the physical distance, our hearts and hopes are one: that the world continues to heal.
