Cancellations policies easy for GUESTS to understand

VERY STRICT

28 days (4 weeks)
Prior to Check-in: Guest cancelling 28 days or more before the check-in date will receive a refund minus A$25 processing fee.
Prior to Check-in: Guest cancelling within 28 days or less of the check-in date will receive a refund minus [(28 days rent) + (service fee + GST)].
If the stay is less than 28 days nothing will be refunded to guest.
After Check-in:
Guests who cancel after check-in in will be charged for the nights already spent at the property, plus 28 days rent. Service fee will not be refunded.
After Check-in: Guests must give 28 days notice to their host if they wish to cancel their stay without incurring penalties. This is arranged directly between the guest and the host. Service fee will not be refunded.

HOSTS / LANDLORDS
Cancellation policies easy for HOSTS to understand

VERY STRICT

We strongly discourage host cancellations.

In the unlikely event where a host is forced to cancel a booking, the host must take the following action:

Prior to Check-in:
The host is responsible for contacting the guest and explaining the situation.
The host is responsible for contacting BEDSSI and explaining the situation.
The host must try and find the guest alternative, suitable and similar accommodation.
BEDSSI will also work to find suitable accommodation for the guest.
The guest will be refunded if no suitable alternative is found.
If the cancellation is 7 days (or less) before check in, the host, if necessary, must pay for a hotel room for up to 7 days (or until a suitable new accommodation is found)
After Check-in:
The host is responsible for contacting the guest and explaining the situation.
The host is responsible for contacting BEDSSI and explaining the situation.
The host must find the guest alternative, suitable and similar accommodation.
If necessary the host must pay for a hotel room for up to 14 days (or until a suitable new accommodation is found)
BEDSSI will also work to find suitable accommodation for the guest.

When a host cancels a reservation an automatic review (by Bedssi) appears on their listings indicating that a reservation was cancelled.

The guest will also be able to post a review
